I shoot product and still life in the studio: perfume, cosmetics and food. The usual brief is a whole line that has to look the same on the packaging, on the shop listing and in the ad.
In still life the entire job is light and material. A perfume bottle is glass, metal and a label that has to stay legible: three surfaces that reflect differently, and they get solved on the shoot, not in Photoshop.

That is exactly the brief: a whole line that has to look the same in all three places. Solve each piece separately and the product stops looking like itself from one to the next.
No. I come in as director and camera and hand back the finished piece, so there is no need to line up three suppliers to close one job.
