This is where I write about the part of the job that gets settled before the shoot: when the light is there, how long it lasts, what fits into a single day and what does not. These are calculations and concrete decisions, not general advice.

How long golden hour actually lasts in Mallorca, Ibiza and Madrid
Golden hour does not last an hour. In Mallorca, Ibiza and Madrid the window runs from 35 to 43 minutes depending on the month, and it is longer in December than in September.
Blue hour lasts twelve minutes, not an hour
Blue hour is the shortest window of the day. In Mallorca, Ibiza and Madrid it lasts between 10 and 13 minutes, and it does not start when the sun sets but some twenty minutes later.
